Description
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Transformation Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead and support the organization's enterprise cloud modernization journey. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to infrastructure leadership and act as a key liaison between internal teams, executive stakeholders, vendors, and consulting partners.
The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in Azure cloud modernization with exceptional program leadership, stakeholder management, and business communication skills. This role is not focused on hands-on engineering but rather on guiding cloud strategy, modernization planning, governance, vendor management, and successful execution of a multi-year cloud transformation roadmap. Specifically looking for someone with deep Azure architecture experience (hands-on in the past) who can operate in a consultative capacity not a PM/TPM. This is about building their Azure environment from scratch and act as a technical advisor/leader guiding architecture decisions, validating vendor direction, and shaping long-term cloud strategy.
Cloud Transformation & Strategy
Lead cloud modernization initiatives across infrastructure, applications, and data platforms.
Partner with executive leadership to define and execute the Azure transformation roadmap.
Assist in developing cloud governance, operating models, security frameworks, and migration strategies.
Evaluate current-state infrastructure and help establish future-state cloud architecture and modernization plans.
Develop recommendations for workload placement, including
On-premises retention
Azure migration
Containerization
Application modernization
Application retirement/decommissioning
Technical Program Management
Manage large-scale cloud transformation initiatives from assessment through execution.
Coordinate dependencies across cloud, infrastructure, data, ERP, security, and enterprise technology teams.
Maintain program plans, risks, milestones, budgets, governance artifacts, and executive reporting.
Facilitate steering committee meetings and executive stakeholder communications.
Ensure alignment across multiple strategic initiatives and organizational priorities.
Vendor & Partner Management
Serve as the primary liaison between client and cloud consulting partners.
Participate in cloud assessments and modernization workshops.
Validate vendor recommendations and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Challenge assumptions and provide technical oversight to ensure practical and scalable solutions.
Monitor partner deliverables, timelines, and quality throughout the engagement.
Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with infrastructure leadership, data teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
Translate complex technical concepts into business-focused recommendations.
Drive collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
Build trusted relationships and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
Data & AI Modernization Support
Collaborate with teams supporting Microsoft Fabric and data modernization initiatives.
Support integration of cloud and data platform strategies.
Evaluate opportunities to leverage Microsoft AI, Azure AI Services, and Copilot capabilities within governance and compliance requirements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105.00 - $105.00/hr.
