Position: Senior IT Business Analyst

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46204 (Hybrid; Local candidates preferred)
Client: State of Indiana
Duration: 12+ Months
Job Description: Seeking an experienced IT Senior Business Analyst to partner with project leadership on a large, enterprise-scale technology replacement. The role centers on capturing business requirements, shaping solutions, and ensuring a smooth transition through collaboration with stakeholders, IT, and other departments. The ideal candidate communicates effectively across all levels, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and drives process improvements and innovative solutions. Key focus areas include requirements documentation, process modeling, user stories, testing support, and alignment with overall business goals.

Five Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate detailed business requirements; translate into actionable user stories and project artifacts.
  • Create current/future state process models and workflow diagrams to illustrate solutions and drive optimization.
  • Design and assess technical and process solutions that align with business objectives; liaise between business units and IT to ensure delivery.
  • Lead requirement gathering sessions, facilitate discussions, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the organization.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and change activities, supporting project management and executive communication as needed.
