Job description

Presence is seeking a remote Software Engineer to build and optimize high-impact digital experiences for small and local businesses. You'll develop responsive websites and web apps, integrate CMS and marketing tools, and implement SEO, analytics, and performance best practices. Partner closely with design, content, and strategy to ship data-informed solutions that drive measurable growth. Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain responsive websites and web applications for small and local business clients
  • Collaborate with designers, marketers, and strategists to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Implement SEO best practices, analytics tracking, and performance optimizations
  • Integrate APIs, CMS platforms, and marketing tools to support campaigns and content workflows
  • Write clean, maintainable code with version control and code review practices
  • Monitor site performance, troubleshoot issues, and execute enhancements based on data insights
  • Participate in sprint planning, standups, and cross-functional project reviews
  • Document technical decisions and provide guidance to non-technical stakeholders
