Systems Support Engineer

Job title: System Support Engineer Location: Folkestone (you will need to drive and have your own transport due to location) Salary: Competitive Hours: Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays!

The role:

You will be responsible for supporting the smooth and effective operation of the company's IT systems. The role will predominantly focus on providing day-to-day IT support, ensuring that internal systems are maintained and that colleagues across the business can use them with ease.

20 days annual leave, increasing with service + bank holidays<br />Christmas shutdown<br />Cycle to work scheme<br />Death in Service<br />Company pension scheme<br />Free parking onsiteKey responsibilities would be: Performing IT admin tasks on clients, servers and infrastructure<br />Commission new users, including their computers and getting them set up<br />Troubleshooting issues with end users and infrastructure components<br />Participate in the research and development of new systems<br />Generate documentation for existing and new systems across the company<br />Provide support for end users across the business<br />Assess issues and proactively suggest and implement corrections<br />Recommend purchases available to enhance the IT department and business<br />Develop and implement solutions, using C# and .NET<br />Produce reports from SQLExperience and skills required: Knowledge of MS systems such as Office, 365, Active Directory and Windows (10/11)<br />Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills<br />Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks<br />Strong communication skills, written and verbalDesirable IT Support - Software/Windows installation and troubleshooting<br />Network Management - cabling, firewalls, VLANS and routing and wireless<br />Server Management - VMWare, Windows and virtualisation<br />Programming - ideally C#, .NET and ASP WebForms/WinForms<br />Database - SQL server, data interrogation and reporting<br />Job Management - ticketing systemsNext steps: If this sounds like the ideal position for you and you have the experience outlined above, then please apply and you will be contacted by a member of our team if your CV matches our requirements.
