Salary Range: $150,000 - $160,000 Annually

About the Role

We are seeking a deeply technical Senior Power Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our enterprise electrical systems. Unlike roles at traditional engineering firms that focus on fast-paced, project-by-project delivery, this position offers the opportunity to own long-term assets, drive enterprise-wide reliability standards, and solve complex operational challenges.

You will oversee medium-voltage systems across two main operational units: Transmission/Gathering & Processing and Distribution & Generation.


Required Qualifications



  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive, hands-on electrical engineering experience within an Operator background (e.g., electric utility, power generation, midstream, or petrochemical operating companies).



  • Education: Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant Engineering field.



  • Voltage Expertise: Deep technical focus on Medium Voltage applications (13 KV to 35 KV), including Medium Voltage VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives).



  • Technical Mastery: Proven experience with power system analysis and protection/coordination studies using tools such as ETAP, SKM Power Systems, GE Multilin, or SEL Relay Software.



  • Codes & Standards: Strong working knowledge of API, IEEE, NESC, NEC, and NFPA codes.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.



  • Basic project management experience.
