System Administrator Level 3 with Security Clearance

The base salary range for this position is: $170,700 to $214,398 (USD), Exclusive of any discretionary bonuses and benefits. JOB DESCRIPTION MissionEdge Technologies is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our growing team of IT professionals. As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for administering, securing, and optimizing enterprise systems and networks while supporting mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate has strong Linux administration experience, a solid networking background, and a proactive approach to automation, troubleshooting, and system hardening. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure solutions, improve operational efficiency, and ensure the availability and security of our environment. Minimum Required Qualifications: * Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.
* Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph + PRIVAC Eligible
* Must have 15+ years of experience. Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field (or equivalent experience). May substitute 5 years of experience for degree.
* Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Linux operating systems.
* Hands-on experience with Cisco and Palo Alto networking equipment.
* Knowledge of virtualization technologies, virtual machines, IPSec, and VPN tunneling.
* Experience developing and implementing automation solutions using Ansible, including writing and maintaining playbooks.
* Proficiency in scripting with Bash and/or Python.
* Experience supporting STE/STN environments.
* Knowledge of Java patching and system maintenance best practices.
* Experience with hardware installation, including rack and stack, structured cabling, and infrastructure documentation.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex system and network issues.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Desired/Preferred Skills: * Containerization experience (Dockers / Kubernetes)
* Troubleshooting of networking equipment. Working Conditions: Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager. Employees are required to notify management in advance of any plans to relocate out of state to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations. Physical Requirements: May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
