Application Programmer IV

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer IV for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for developing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business goals. The ideal candidate will ensure that solutions are well-designed, meet all functional and compliance standards, and will leverage a strong knowledge of development practices, design patterns, and multiple programming languages including Python, Ansible, and Java.

Responsibilities:

• Code solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
• Design, develop, and modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers
• Mentor other software engineers and coach the team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) practices
• Execute story refinement, define requirements, and estimate work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
• Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
• Automate manual release activities
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
• Deliver complex features and technology, enabling development efficiencies
• Provide technical thought leadership based on conducting multiple software implementations
• Accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery

Requirements:

• 5+ years of solid experience as a Software Engineer
• Experience in multiple frontend and backend languages (Python, Ansible, Java, and Bash scripting)
• Deep understanding of data structures and object-oriented programming principles
• Experience with relational databases like Oracle, MySQL
• Knowledge of application development methodologies and infrastructure
• Proficiency in executing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and delivering automated software testing
• Working knowledge of JIRA, Remedy, or ServiceNow
• Experience with C#

Pay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hour
