Job Title: Hardware Validation Engineer (Board Bring-up & Power Validation)

Location: Fremont, CA or Austin, TX (Onsite)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Hardware Validation Engineer with strong expertise in board bring-up, hardware debugging, pre/post-silicon validation, and power validation. The ideal candidate will support validation activities for next-generation hardware platforms, including board bring-up, voltage regulator testing, and validation of low-speed interfaces.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring experience with hardware validation labs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and board-level debugging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-silicon and post-silicon board bring-up and validation.
  • Debug hardware issues during board bring-up and platform validation.
  • Validate power rails, voltage regulators (VRM), and power sequencing at both board and silicon levels.
  • Perform Power Validation and analyze signal integrity issues.
  • Validate low-speed interfaces including:
    • I2C
    • SPI
    • UART
  • Execute PDVT (Product Design Validation Test) and EDVT (Engineering Design Validation Test) activities.
  • Support silicon bring-up and collaborate with hardware design teams.
  • Use lab equipment such as Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, DMM, Power Analyzer, etc.
  • Develop or enhance basic Python scripts for automation (preferred).
  • Prepare validation reports and debug documentation.

Required Skills

Must Have

  • 5 10+ years of Hardware Validation experience.
  • Strong experience in Board Bring-up & Hardware Debugging.
  • Experience with Pre-Silicon and Post-Silicon Validation.
  • Strong knowledge of Power Validation.
  • Experience validating Voltage Regulator Circuits.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • I2C
    • SPI
    • UART
  • Experience in PDVT / EDVT.
  • Experience using Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Multimeter, etc.
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to Have

  • Basic Python automation.
  • Experience supporting silicon bring-up.
  • Good documentation and communication skills.
