Job: Senior Database Engineer (PostgreSQL)
Location: Plano TX - Onsite ( 5 Days) F2F Interview

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Database Engineer with strong PostgreSQL expertise to design, administer, and optimize enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in database performance tuning, high availability, backup & recovery, and production support. This role requires close collaboration with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure database platforms.

Must-Have Skills

  • 8+ years of Database Engineering/DBA experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on PostgreSQL administration
  • PostgreSQL performance tuning and query optimization
  • High Availability, Replication, Backup & Recovery
  • Strong SQL and PL/pgSQL
  • Linux administration
  • Scripting (Python or Bash)
  • Experience with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform database environments
  • Production support and troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

  • Kubernetes or Docker
  • Terraform or Ansible
  • PostgreSQL managed services (AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure Database for PostgreSQL)
  • Database migration and automation experience
