Hiring Now – AV Specialist (Onsite Contract)
📍 Location: Washington, DC
📍 Work Type: 100% Onsite
🕒 Shift: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
💼 Employment Type: Independent Contractor on 1099 without any benefits
We are looking for an experienced AV Specialist to provide onsite Audio Visual (AV), Video Teleconferencing (VTC), and Desktop Support services in a corporate enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have strong AV support experience, executive/VIP support expertise, and excellent troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day AV/VTC support for meetings, conferences, and special events.
- Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot video conferencing systems and presentation equipment.
- Deliver live event support, including real-time technical troubleshooting.
- Perform preventive maintenance on AV/VTC systems, presentation laptops, and auditorium equipment.
- Track maintenance activities and maintain accurate documentation.
- Train end users on conference room technology and AV systems.
- Provide Tier 2 desktop support for Windows laptops/desktops, conference rooms, telephony, mobile devices, and remote users.
- Support Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and ITSM tools.
- Collaborate with the Global Service Desk and IT teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Provide executive/VIP technical support with professionalism and discretion.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Audio Visual (AV) support experience in a corporate/enterprise environment.
- Experience supporting commercial AV and Video Conferencing systems.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Active Directory and remote support tools (Bomgar or similar).
- Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
- Experience supporting executive-level users.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Washington, DC.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of college education.
- MCSA, CompTIA A+, or Network+ certifications.
- Experience with auditorium AV systems and theatrical lighting.
- Familiarity with ITIL service management practices.

- 100% Onsite (No Remote Option)
