PRIMARY DETAIL $88,670 - $100,815 per annum (pro rata) plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading Part-time, continuing (3 Days per week) Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde

Macquarie University's Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences (FMHHS) is seeking a Learning Management Systems Administrator to help keep our learning platforms stable, current and fit-for-purpose so our staff and students can focus on what matters most, teaching and learning.

About the Role

Reporting to our Head of Educational Services, you will maintain and improve the faculty's learning management systems and provide hands on support and training to staff. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing, updating and maintaining learning management platforms.
  • Developing, implementing and improving administrative systems, processes and procedures.
  • Partnering with Faculty academic staff and central teams (including the Office of the PVC Education) to improve online teaching content and delivery methods that enhance the student experience and engagement.
  • Providing learning and teaching support and training to academic and professional staff on agreed learning management systems and platforms.
  • Working with stakeholders across the Faculty and University to adopt and implement new learning, teaching and online delivery initiatives.
  • Participating in learning management system projects and working groups as required.
  • Contributing to relevant professional standards, codes of ethics, and EEO and WHS requirements.

About You (Selection Criteria)

You are a service focused learning technologies professional who enjoys helping educators get the best from their platforms. You combine sound technical knowledge with the ability to build effective working relationships across a diverse university community, and you take pride in accuracy and reliable outcomes.

  • Tertiary qualification in learning technologies and/or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant experience administering and supporting learning management systems (LMS).
  • Evidence of skills using web based technology, LMS and student portals.
  • A service focus and the ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including academic staff.
  • Evidence of working effectively in a team environment with successful outcomes.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
