I can pay up to 75/hr, since its a contract to hire will be hybrid 3 times a week or as needed in Sunnyvale, CA. Looking for an individual contributor at a senior level that can come in and start working on Android Projects immediately. Person needs to have great coding abilities, technical know how on system design including production, and the ability to communicate around design. Android Developer

Location: Sunnyvale, California (Hybrid)

Role Overview

We are seeking an Android Developer to design and implement features for our applications. This role involves close collaboration with product and design teams to optimize the user experience on the Android platform. The position requires analyzing and optimizing application performance, experimenting with new technologies, and building quick prototypes in an agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement features in Android applications.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to enhance the Android platform experience.
• Analyze and optimize application performance and stability.
• Experiment with new technologies and build prototypes.
• Participate in managing code and configurations for multiple environments.
• Analyze business requirements and contribute to an agile development process.
• Lead the discovery phase for projects and contribute to high-level design.
• Lead the work of other engineers on various projects.
• Troubleshoot business and production issues.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 4+ years of experience building native Android applications in Java/Kotlin. Experience having shipped one or more Android applications available in the Google Play Store. Proven experience as a technical lead for a team and a significant role in the delivery of complex projects.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java/Kotlin. Knowledge of standard tools for optimizing and testing code.

Preferred Qualifications

• A local candidate interested in a contract-to-hire opportunity.
• Server-side development experience building RESTful APIs in frameworks like Node.js.
