Software Engineer

Our client, a leading aerospace, defense, and government engineering solutions organization, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of the Customer Centric Solutions Department supporting the NI ADG (Aerospace, Defense, Government Business Unit) Team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration abilities, and a self-driven mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)
Pay Range: $65.00 - $75.00/hour

What’s the Job?

• Develop custom automated test systems, instrument drivers, and software applications using LabVIEW and TestStand.
• Collaborate with systems architects, electrical engineers, customers, and cross-functional teams to design and implement test solutions.
• Create and execute system verification and validation plans to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Provide technical support, documentation, and software handoff to customer engineering teams.
• Support project objectives through milestone management, design reviews, and occasional domestic and international travel.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing test software using LabVIEW and TestStand.
• Hands-on experience with PXI hardware, automated test systems, and electronic test instrumentation.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as GPIB, USB, Ethernet, and Serial interfaces.
• U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to work on ITAR-regulated projects and qualify for DoD clearances.
