Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Chemnitz, Germany | Hybrid We're hiring for a leading European professional services firm that is instrumental in driving the energy transition. The Role • Spearhead the energization of medium, high, and extra-high voltage substations and renewable energy feed-in systems. • Analyze and resolve faults in protection and control systems, collaborating with expert teams to drive improvements. • Configure and parameterize high-tech protection and field control devices from leading manufacturers (Siemens, Schneider, ABB). • Conduct precise commissioning of digital protection and control technology using advanced testing equipment (OMICROM). • Collaborate effectively with project management, planning, and assembly teams to ensure project success. • Contribute to the green energy future by supporting projects in energy transmission, distribution, and grid connections for industrial and renewable energy parks. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering or a related field. • Proven expertise in protection/control technology, with experience in commissioning switchgear in compliance with communication standards (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Familiarity with configuration software like Siemens DIGSI 4/5, Schneider MICOM S1, and test software such as OMICROM TestUniverse is advantageous. • Strong team player with excellent communication and decision-making skills in German. • Valid Class B driver's license and willingness to travel regionally (typically Monday-Thursday).
