Role Summary
This position involves leading end-to-end deployment planning and execution for complex SD-Access Fabric network migrations. The role requires technical expertise in network architecture, migration strategies, and automation to ensure smooth implementation, validation, and stabilization of network infrastructure. It is suited for a seasoned networking professional with extensive experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive deployment plans and strategies for SD-Access Fabric replacement projects, including phased IPv4-to-IPv6 migration approaches.
- Translate high-level network designs into detailed, actionable low-level deployment plans that align with client requirements.
- Create and refine standardized configuration templates for SD-Access Fabric, routing protocols, segmentation, QoS, and application-aware routing.
- Develop and execute thorough runbooks and method of procedure (MOP) documents for network migration, including addressing changes and deployment steps.
- Design scalable, repeatable site deployment models and validation criteria to measure success during each phase of the deployment.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks before deployment activities and define validation, rollback, and verification procedures.
- Support automation efforts through scripting, templating, and zero-touch provisioning to streamline deployment processes.
- Provide real-time remote support during site cutovers, review deployment feedback, and refine processes accordingly.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams to troubleshoot issues, analyze root causes, and develop remediation strategies.
- Review and approve change requests, ensuring compliance with security standards and enterprise architecture.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of enterprise networking experience, including a strong background in SD-Access Fabric architecture.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with SD-Access deployment, site migration, and network automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
- Proven track record supporting large-scale multi-site rollout projects with 50+ locations.
- Deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EVPN-VXLAN, and network segmentation policies.
- Experience planning and executing IPv6 migration strategies in production environments.
- Strong technical documentation and configuration management skills.
- Ability to support post-migration stabilization, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication.
- Certifications such as CCNP R&S or equivalent are preferred.
- Must have existing legal work authorization to work in the designated location.
Publishing Pay Range: $80.00 - $85.00 hourly
This is a hybrid role and can be performed from an approved remote location.
