About Our Client

Our client operates a large, high volume FMCG manufacturing site. Beyond substantial annual capital works, the site actively partners with industry and technology leaders to trial and deploy next generation solutions spanning AI driven quality systems, robotics, smart packaging, advanced automation, and data led supply chain optimisation.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the operational rollout of advanced packaging formats, including VSPand MAP.
  • Managing live technical trials with equipment, automation, AI and packaging suppliers while maintaining baseline production performance.
  • Overseeing the integration of new manufacturing technologies, including automation, robotics, vision systems, and data enabled operational tools.
  • Acting as the central coordination point between engineering, production, planning, quality, safety, and external partners.
  • Ensuring all projects meet strict food safety, quality, and retail compliance standards.
  • Driving structured risk management, commissioning, and handover into BAU operations.
The Successful Applicant

A successful Technical Project Manager should have:

  • Engineering background (mechanical)
  • Proven experience in technical or engineering project management within food manufacturing or FMCG is a must
  • Hands on exposure to packaging innovation, automation, or process engineering (VSP/MAP experience highly regarded).
  • Strong capability in systems integration, industrial engineering, or process optimisation.
  • Confidence operating as an embedded project lead, balancing consultancy level discipline with practical on floor execution.
  • Excellent stakeholder, supplier, and cross functional leadership skills.
  • A safety first mindset with strong attention to quality and compliance.
