Senior Security Engineer - Melbourne

AYAN InfoTech is looking for Senior Security Engineer to join an exciting project based in Melbourne. The role offers you the opportunity to contribute towards an extremely well structured and mature environment, working on sophisticated enhancement projects.

Role: Senior Security Engineer

Location: Melbourne

Contract Duration: 6 to 12 Months with high possible extensions

Experience: 7+ Years

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in network security, cloud security or infrastructure security roles.
• Strong experience with one or more major firewall platforms (e.g. Palo Alto, Cisco FTD, Juniper, Checkpoint).
• Solid hands-on skills in routing & switching and Cisco ACI architecture (e.g. OSPF, BGP, VLANs, port channels, VRFs).
• Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure) and CI/CD or DevOps security practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Python, Ansible) or scripting for security use cases.
• Strong capability in driving automation and AI-enabled capabilities within network security engineering, leveraging scripting, APIs, and intelligent analytics to streamline operations, enhance threat detection, and improve delivery efficiency.
