Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).

What you'll be doing

Provide daily supervision and assisted mentoring for staff in the provision of sterilisation services and safe delivery of reusable medical devices to all customers of the Central Sterilising Service Department reflective of current infection control measures and in accordance with statutory requirements and Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.

About You

You demonstrate proven capability in a supervisory or team leadership role within a sterilisation services environment, bringing both technical expertise and the ability to guide and support staff effectively. You operate with a strong leadership presence while maintaining a collaborative and respectful approach, enabling you to function harmoniously within a team and foster a positive and productive workplace culture.

You possess well developed computer skills, including proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, word processing, and electronic tracking systems, along with a comprehensive understanding of other programs associated with CSSD services. Your high level of technical competence allows you to perform specialised sterilisation tasks with precision and consistency, ensuring compliance with standards and supporting patient safety.

You hold a Sterilisation Certificate III and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to professional development, continuously enhancing your knowledge and skills to remain current with industry practices. You are highly organised and reliable, with a proven ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage competing priorities, and consistently meet challenging deadlines while maintaining high standards of performance.

This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.
