Job Description
Talent Groups is seeking an experienced Tableau Data Visualization Engineer to support a multi-year Data and Analytics Transformation Program focused on modernizing enterprise analytics. This role will design, develop, and optimize Tableau dashboards and visual analytics solutions that enable self-service reporting and data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate will partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Analytics Solution Engineers to transform enterprise data into intuitive, interactive visualizations that deliver actionable business insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop data visualizations that effectively communicate business insights, KPIs, and OKRs.
- Develop and deploy Tableau dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into business performance.
- Build and maintain complex Tableau data models using data from multiple sources.
- Use SQL to extract, manipulate, validate, and troubleshoot data to ensure dashboard and report accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective BI solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot dashboard performance and data refresh issues.
- Implement role-based access controls and other data security measures.
- Improve the usability, interactivity, performance, and overall user experience of Tableau dashboards.
- Provide training and support to end users on Tableau functionality and best practices.
- Follow BI governance standards and Agile development practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data visualization, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on Tableau experience.
- Strong experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep.
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, validation, manipulation, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with cloud-native BI and analytics platforms.
- Experience designing and developing complex Tableau dashboards and data models.
- Strong understanding of database management and ETL processes.
- Experience with BI governance best practices.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and data storytelling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-native BI architecture.
- Experience applying UI/UX principles to data visualization and dashboard development.
- Experience in the workers'' compensation insurance industry.
- Experience working within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
