Job Description

Title: Engineering Manager

Location: Westlake TX, Durham, North Carolina, Smithfield RI, Merrimack, NH, Boston, MA(Hybrid)
Duration: Contract on W2 only
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with hands-on software development experience, excellent people management skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers.
  • Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders to define technical solutions.
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and sprint planning.
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and career development discussions.
  • Ensure engineering best practices, coding standards, and software quality.
  • Review system architecture and provide technical guidance.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and project roadblocks.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and team growth.
  • Monitor key engineering metrics and improve development processes.
  • Ensure security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability of applications.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of software development experience.
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership or people management experience.
  • Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
