Job Description

Job Title: Quality Engineer – Playwright Automation
Location: Parsippany, NJ (100% Onsite)

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
Develop scalable and reusable automation frameworks for web applications.
Execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
Integrate automation test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, automation scripts, and quality documentation.
Generate test reports, quality metrics, and release readiness reports.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
Continuously improve automation frameworks, test coverage, and QA best practices.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, QA Automation, or Test Automation Engineering.
Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI and end-to-end automation testing.
Strong programming experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
Experience with API Testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and QA best practices.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
