The Role

A specialist technical distribution company is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer / Sales Engineer to join its small, dedicated team.

The company supplies sensing solutions from leading European and Japanese manufacturers, covering:

• Humidity and dew point

• Temperature

• Flow and air velocity

• Pressure

• Gas analysis and detection

• Sensors and modules for OEM applications

Customers operate across a wide range of industries, including HVAC, industrial, laboratory, biopharma, horticulture, air quality, transport, medical, and power generation.

The role will involve developing and managing sales across the UK and Ireland, understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable technical solutions. Regular customer visits will be required, along with occasional supplier visits and training in Europe and Japan.

About You

We are looking for someone with a background in technical sales, ideally with experience selling sensors, instrumentation or sensing solutions.

However, applications are also welcomed from candidates with experience selling other technical products or engineering solutions.

You should have:

• Proven B2B technical sales experience

• Good understanding of technical products and applications

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Confidence dealing with customers and technical requirements

• Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland

• Ability to travel internationally for supplier meetings and training

• A full UK driving licence

Direct sensor experience would be beneficial but is not essential for the right technical sales background.
