DevOps / Cloud Engineer - 50% telework with Security Clearance

Linchpin Software is a small, growing company, and we're hiring a DevOps / Cloud Engineer in Chantilly, VA (50% telework). You'll build and run the platform our software teams depend on: Kubernetes clusters, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Terraform-managed cloud infrastructure, and the on-prem and air-gapped environments where much of our mission work lives. You'll write code, not just click consoles. Here's what we care about, and we hire for it:

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab that take code from commit to production
• Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible
• Run and harden Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads
• Build and operate AWS cloud environments (GovCloud / C2S experience a plus)
• Support air-gapped, hybrid, and on-prem environments, including GPU servers
• Work with developers to improve build speed, reliability, security, and observability Required:
• Active Top Secret, TS/SCI, or Intel Agency clearance
• Bachelor's degree
• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or software engineering
• Hands-on Kubernetes and Docker
• CI/CD pipeline development (GitLab CI/CD preferred)
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
• AWS or Azure cloud experience
• Scripting or coding in Python, Bash, or Go
• Clear communication and a genuine willingness to help customers and teammates Preferred:
• AWS GovCloud, SC2S, or C2S
• JFrog Artifactory or other artifact management
• Monitoring and logging (Elasticsearch / OpenSearch, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
• DevSecOps practices and security accreditation (ATO) experience
• Air-gapped or cross-domain environments
• OpenShift or Rancher The Honest Details:
• Location: Chantilly, VA, 50% telework. You'll be on site about half the time, and we mean it.
• Pay: $150,000 - $230,000, based on experience and what you bring.
• Clearance: active Top Secret, TS/SCI, or Intel Agency clearance required. We can't sponsor one for this role.
