This role involves collaboration with offshore teams. While not an extremely frequent occurrence, there may be instances where early morning or late evening calls are needed to accommodate time zone differences.

The current MES Project Manager is retiring. Our client is looking for someone to join the team and take over a large MES implementation effort.
Application / Project Overview
Our client, a global medical device and diagnostics manufacturer, is undertaking a large-scale Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation and is seeking an experienced MES Project Manager to join the team on a 6-month engagement. This role is stepping in as the current MES PM transitions into retirement and will take ownership of driving the implementation forward.
The ideal candidate will bring strong program management discipline, hands-on experience in regulated manufacturing environments, and the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders around a shared implementation roadmap.
The MES platform currently being implemented is Camstar / Siemens Opcenter.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day execution of the MES implementation project
- Coordinate across IT, Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering stakeholder groups
- Track project timelines, milestones, risks, and budget
- Facilitate regular status meetings and provide updates to leadership
- Drive resolution of roadblocks and cross-team dependencies
- Ensure project documentation and change controls align with regulatory requirements
- Support knowledge transfer and continuity from the outgoing MES PM
Required Qualifications / Must-Have Skills
- PMP certification
- Proven Project Management experience within an MES/manufacturing systems environment
- Background in medical device and/or manufacturing industries
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Comfortable driving work independently in a fast-paced, high-visibility project
- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and production workflows
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Camstar / Siemens Opcenter experience strongly preferred; experience with other MES platforms such as POMSnet, Werum PAS-X, or similar will also be considered
- MES implementation experience
- Familiarity with validation processes in regulated manufacturing (GMP/FDA)
- Experience supporting MES projects through validation, go-live, and hypercare
- Prior experience with system implementation transitions or PM handoffs
- Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing exposure
Education / Certification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field
- PMP certification required
- Additional certifications in Lean/Six Sigma a plus
