Job Title: IT Support Specialist (Network Support)
Overview / Summary
We are seeking a hands-on IT Support Specialist with a focus on network support to provide onsite technical assistance for hospital staff and end users. While the primary focus is network-related support, this role also includes general L1/L2 desktop, field support, printer, password, device, and connectivity tickets as needed. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, flexible, and comfortable working directly with users in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite IT support for hospital staff and end users.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including LAN/WAN, switches, wireless, cabling, ports, and device connectivity.
- Support desktop, hardware, software, printer, password, and access-related tickets.
- Assist with setup, configuration, and support of workstations, peripherals, and network-connected devices.
- Escalate complex network or infrastructure issues to senior L3 engineering resources when needed.
- Document tickets, troubleshooting steps, and resolution details accurately.
- Collaborate with systems, server, Microsoft 365, desktop, and field support team members.
- Support hospital operations in a professional, calm, and customer-focused manner.
- Participate in weekend or on-call rotation as needed.
- Adapt to a support model that may expand toward a 24/7 healthcare operations environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience providing onsite IT support in a business, healthcare, enterprise, or similarly fast-paced environment.
- Strong general L1/L2 support background.
- Experience troubleshooting network connectivity, including cabling, wireless, switches, and basic network issues.
- Comfortable supporting desktop and field support tickets when network-specific work is not active.
- Experience supporting Windows desktops/laptops, printers, peripherals, and standard end-user support.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work onsite and provide face-to-face user support.
- Reliable, flexible, and willing to assist wherever needed.
