Job Description
This is a innovative big data management and data access space, and we are seeking a Software Development Manager (SDM) who is excited about leading a talented team of software developers towards growing and scaling our suite of mission-critical services.
You will be responsible for operating critical services that are foundational to Amazon operations across multiple business segments and establishing a new vision and approach for enabling business agility while improving the security bar. We strive to balance robust security and seamless user experience, raising the security bar while minimizing user interaction complexity.
If you love big challenges, thinking out of the box, and engaging with internal stakeholders at all levels of the org, you will be a good fit. Prior security engineering experience is not required though you need to be a builder who has a passion for excellent customer experiences and bring energy to move the teams forward quickly. You will draw from your deep and broad technical expertise to guide software engineers in incremental delivery and operational excellence

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
