Java Developer

Remote Role

Long Term Contract

Must have Retail, POS and NCR platform experience.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of hands-on Java development experience; Java 11, 17, or 21 strongly preferred.
• Deep proficiency in the Spring Framework ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures at enterprise scale.
• Solid grounding in OOP principles, software design patterns, and SOLID design principles.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) including writing complex, optimized SQL queries.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or comparable tooling.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote or hybrid contract engagement.
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
• Familiarity with message broker technologies such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB, Redis, or Amazon DynamoDB.
• Knowledge of API gateway tools and service mesh solutions (e.g., Kong, Istio).
• Exposure to front-end technologies such as Angular or React is a plus.
• Relevant industry certifications, such as Oracle Java SE Certified Professional, AWS Certified Developer, or equivalent.
