Job Description
We are seeking a Technology Specialist - Finance Applications to join VicRoads. The role focuses on the hands on management, lifecycle support, and operational stability of our Finance technology platforms, primarily Workday and related applications. The specialist reports to the Technical Product Owner - HR & Finance Applications.
Key Accountabilities- Provide Level2/3 application support across Finance platforms including General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Procurement, Cash Management, Projects, Inventory and integrations.
- Manage incidents, service requests, problems and changes in alignment with ITIL processes and stated SLAs.
- Monitor application performance, interfaces and data flows to ensure operational stability, accuracy and availability.
- Support lifecycle activities such as configuration changes, upgrades, release management, testing and system decommissioning following approved roadmaps.
- Identify and implement automation and optimisation opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve user experience.
- Assist in root cause analysis for recurring incidents and support implementation of preventative controls and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with vendors, system integrators and internal technology teams to resolve complex application and integration issues.
- Support Workday release cycles, including regression testing and post release validation activities.
You are a customer focused Finance Technology professional with 2 5 years of experience supporting Workday Finance applications within a large and complex environment. You thrive solving technical challenges and driving continuous improvement while working collaboratively with stakeholders.
Qualifications- 2-5 years of relevant industry experience, supported by a Workday certification.
- Hands on experience supporting at least three Workday Finance modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Procurement, Cash Management, Projects, Inventory or integrations.
- Experience managing incidents, problems, changes and service requests in an ITIL aligned environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience supporting SaaS applications and collaborating with vendors, system integrators and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to both technical and non technical audiences.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, including support procedures and system guides.
- Experience in a large, regulated or government environment.
- Exposure to Agile delivery practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Knowledge of security, access controls and data protection principles within enterprise technology environments.
- Familiarity with distributed enterprise customer service systems.
