Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the delivery team, specialising in Defence sector projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating Ministry of Defence (MoD) construction projects and producing detailed quotation documents for Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) approval. This role requires strong project management skills to ensure timely and accurate delivery of pre-construction and tendering activities, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. The position is based in Sandhurst, Surrey, and offers a fixed-term contract with a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the delivery of MoD construction projects from investigation through to quotation documentation.
Prepare and produce comprehensive quotation documents for DIO approval, ensuring compliance with MoD standards and requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and resolve project issues.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and risk registers to ensure successful project delivery.
Provide clear and concise reporting on project progress and escalate issues as required.
Ensure adherence to relevant health, safety, and quality standards throughout project phases.
Support contract and procurement activities related to project delivery.
Required Skills
Proven experience in project management within the Defence sector, specifically MoD construction projects.
Strong knowledge of MoD processes and Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) requirements.
Experience producing quotation and tender documentation for construction projects.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Risk management and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in project planning and scheduling.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Certifications & Standards
PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification (desirable)
Knowledge of CDM Regulations (advantageous)
