Trainee Emergency Lighting Engineer – Swindon – £28,000 - £32,000 We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Emergency Lighting Engineer to join a well-established and growing fire and security company covering Swindon and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience in the installation, testing, servicing, and maintenance of emergency lighting systems across commercial and industrial sites.

Package &amp; Benefits • Salary £28,000 - £32,000 per annum<br />• Full training and ongoing support provided<br />• Company vehicle and fuel card<br />• Travel time paid<br />• Overtime available<br />• Pension scheme<br />• Annual leave entitlement<br />• Manufacturer and industry training courses<br />• Career progression opportunities<br />• Full-time, permanent position Role &amp; Responsibilities • Assisting with the installation, servicing, and maintenance of emergency lighting systems<br />• Carrying out routine testing and inspections in line with industry standards<br />• Supporting senior engineers on commercial and industrial projects<br />• Learning fault-finding techniques and basic system diagnostics<br />• Completing service reports and job documentation accurately<br />• Ensuring all works are completed safely and to a high standard<br />• Travelling to customer sites across Swindon and surrounding areas<br />• Maintaining strong communication with customers and internal teams Skills &amp; Experience Required • Full UK driving licence (essential)<br />• Strong willingness to learn and develop within the industry<br />• Good communication and customer service skills<br />• Basic electrical knowledge or experience (desirable but not essential)<br />• Previous experience within engineering, electrical, construction, or maintenance environments (advantageous)<br />• Positive attitude with strong work ethic<br />• Ability to work independently and as part of a team<br />• ECS/CSCS card (desirable) Desirable • Previous exposure to emergency lighting or fire safety systems<br />• Electrical qualifications or training<br />• IPAF or PASMA certification<br />• Experience working on commercial sites Apply If you are looking to start your career as a Trainee Emergency Lighting Engineer within a growing and supportive company in Swindon, please submit your CV to be considered.
