Description:
Diversified Systems is searching for a Cloud Specialist to develop and modify scalable architecture supporting Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) platforms. The consultant will ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy, and safely migrate existing on-premises applications, workloads, and databases to public cloud platforms.

The Cloud Specialist will monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure performance, proactively identify and resolve issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. The consultant will also design controls and processes that utilize available audit tools and maintain up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and modify scalable architecture to support Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) platforms.
• Ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy.
• Move existing on-premises applications, workloads, and databases to public cloud platforms safely.
• Monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Design controls and processes that utilize available audit tools.
• Maintain up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in major public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform required.
• Experience with automation and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell required.
• Understanding of cloud networking, Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), and firewalls required.
• Advanced VM management, Windows Server/Active Directory, and Linux administration required.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Windows Server required.
• SME-level experience with Azure/AWS required.
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft 365 required.
• Intermediate PowerShell experience required.
• Advanced networking experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5-6 years of experience working with AWS or Microsoft Azure highly desired.
• Prior government or regulated industry experience highly desired.
• Advanced Linux experience highly desired.
• Intermediate vSphere experience highly desired.
• Intermediate Python experience highly desired.
• Intermediate Bash experience highly desired.
• Advanced storage experience highly desired.
