The Role • Design, implement, and manage complex firewall solutions using Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto technologies. • Monitor firewall performance and security logs, identifying and mitigating potential threats. • Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures to ensure infrastructure integrity. • Lead personnel supporting the Firewall Task Area, acting as the focal point for operations, projects, and assessments. • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance assessments for team members. • Develop and execute strategies for continual service improvement to enhance operational processes. What You'll Need • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 12+ years of directly relevant experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. • 3+ years of firewall experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) environment. • Demonstrated experience in planning, directing, and managing a firewall team. • Advanced experience in implementing and managing perimeter and internal firewalls (physical and virtual). • Advanced experience in managing baseline configurations and evaluating rules for maximum security and minimal redundancy. • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. • DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification and a Juniper, Cisco, or Palo Alto certification prior to start.
