Position: Google Cloud Platform Platform Engineer
Location: Onsite in one of the following locations (Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Charlotte, NC; Jacksonville, FL; or Washington DC) (All 5 days onsite)

Description:
The Google Cloud Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud solutions across the enterprise. This role supports mission‑critical financial systems, ensuring high availability, regulatory compliance, and strong security posture within Google Cloud Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud architectures using Google Cloud Platform core services such as Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and GKE
• Build automated, repeatable infrastructure using Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration
• Strengthen cloud security through IAM governance, encryption, network segmentation, and compliance controls aligned with financial regulations
• Monitor and optimize cloud workloads using Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, and cost‑management tools
• Partner with security, architecture, and application teams to deliver resilient, compliant cloud solutions
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement across cloud environments.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform architecture, networking, IAM, and security
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform, Cloud Build, GitLab CI, or similar automation tools
• Proficiency with Kubernetes/GKE and containerized application deployment
• Understanding of financial‑sector compliance frameworks (PCI, SOC2, FFIEC, etc.)
• Ability to design scalable, fault‑tolerant systems and manage complex cloud environments
