Job Description

Our client is the leading mid-market M&A adviser in the UK, Europe and globally. Their Corporate Finance practice has an industry-leading reputation for forward-thinking, objective advice and an envied track record of closing successful deals - their Corporate Financiers have advised on and arranged critical, sensitive equity and debt transactions for some of the world's largest corporations, financial institutions and governments.

Continued revenue growth means they're looking for exceptional talent to join the team, and we've been retained to find a Healthcare specialist to help lead the next chapter of their success.

The Opportunity

You'll work on the origination and execution of lead advisory mandates in the mid-market, specialising in Healthcare and helping clients achieve their strategic objectives - buying or selling their business - from initial strategic review through to successful completion.

The team has significant growth ambitions, built on deep sector expertise and a relentless focus on high-quality deal execution. This is a rare opportunity to join as a genuine sector specialist within a growing, ambitious team, backed by:

Senior, trusted client relationships across mid-market and global companies, new strategic entrants, financial investors and leading entrepreneurs
An enviable set of market credentials spanning all of the firm's major service lines
A diverse skill set and deep sector expertise across the business

What You'll Do

Lead M&A projects - with support from a Director or Partner - as one of the senior points of contact for clients
Own the day-to-day management of client relationships and the delivery of M&A transactions, across every phase of the deal cycle
Lead the preparation of transaction documentation, including pitch materials and client proposals
Direct and manage colleagues, wider support staff and external advisers
Supervise and review complex financial analysis and modelling produced by the team
Build and develop your own relationships in the market
Take ownership of agreed origination and business development activity
Set, monitor and control project budgets, billing and reporting

What They're Looking For

Strong academic background (ACA, CFA, MBA or equivalent)
Significant M&A advisory experience gained at an investment bank, Big Four firm, private equity house, M&A boutique, or in corporate business development
Sector-specific M&A experience, with a demonstrable record of deal execution across the full transaction cycle, from origination to completion
Experience advising private sector clients through to financial close (M&A and refinancing); public sector advisory experience - option appraisals, value-for-money analysis, business case development - is a plus
Good knowledge of financing structures, including debt and equity project/infrastructure finance and high-leverage transactions
