We're partnering with a growing specialist insurer experiencing significant growth across Australia. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking two Underwriting Assistants to join their collaborative and high-performing team.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career, whether you've recently graduated, have some exposure to insurance, claims, broking or customer service, or simply have a genuine interest in building a career within the insurance industry.

This organisation provides exposure across the full underwriting process and a clearly defined pathway into an Underwriter position.

The Opportunity

As an Underwriting Assistant, you'll support a team of experienced Underwriters while learning the technical skills required to progress your career.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the underwriting team with policy administration
  • Processing quotes, renewals and endorsements
  • Responding to broker enquiries and requests
  • Maintaining accurate client and policy information
  • Learning underwriting processes, products and systems
  • Building relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders
  • Contributing to a collaborative team environment

From day one, you'll receive hands-on training and mentoring from experienced Underwriters who will help develop your technical knowledge and industry expertise.

About You

We're open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including:

  • Insurance, claims or broking experience
  • Customer service, administration or operations roles
  • Recent graduates
  • Individuals with a rural or agricultural background
  • Candidates looking to transition into a long-term insurance career
