Role Description The Senior Cybersecurity Compliance & Cloud Security Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Gothenburg. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity and cloud security controls aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include performing risk and vulnerability assessments, reviewing and hardening application and network security, and developing security policies, procedures, and documentation. The consultant collaborates with cross-functional teams to assess cloud architectures, recommend secure configurations, and support incident response activities. The role also involves advising clients on compliance frameworks, leading security audits, delivering clear reports and recommendations, and providing guidance and training to stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with experience in security governance, risk management, and compliance.
  • Hands-on expertise in Application Security, including secure development practices, code review, and application vulnerability mitigation.
  • Proficiency in Network Security, including firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention, segmentation, and secure network design.
  • Experience performing Vulnerability Assessment activities, including scanning, analysis, prioritization, and remediation coordination.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud security (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP), shared responsibility models, identity and access management, and secure configuration baselines.
  • Familiarity with relevant frameworks and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, GDPR, and other regional compliance requirements.
  • Ability to translate technical security findings into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to work.
  • Proven experience in a senior or lead security role, preferably in consulting or complex enterprise environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP) are highly beneficial.
