Software Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is suited for candidates ranging from entry level candidates to professionals with up to 2 years of hands-on development experience. You will work closely with senior engineers to design, build, test, and maintain software applications, while growing your technical and problem-solving skills in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code under guidance from senior team members
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment
• Debug and resolve software defects and production issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, product, design) to deliver features
• Write and maintain unit/integration tests
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback
• Document code, processes, and technical decisions
• Continuously learn new tools, frameworks, and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor''''''''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, C#)
• Understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts
• Basic knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Exposure to web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) if applicable to role
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab)
• Understanding of REST APIs and basic backend/frontend architecture
• Basic understanding of software testing (unit testing frameworks)
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodology (preferred, not mandatory)

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills)

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker)
• Familiarity with frameworks (React, Angular, Spring Boot, Django, Node.js, etc.)
• Prior internship, academic project, or personal project experience showcasing coding ability
