Job Description

Title: SCADA Specialist/ Programmer


Location: Carteret, NJ


Houston TX


Schedule: Monday-Wednesday on site, Thursday and Friday WFH


Duration: 12 months w/ possibility of extension


Pay Range: $60 to $70 per hour

Day to Day:



  • Will be developing and programming on a application upgrade project



  • Going from legacy platform, AVEVA- In Touch, to AVEVA system platform



  • HMI development



  • This person will be setting up buttons and pop ups, and following color schemes and alarm standards



  • Work as part of a group to provide SCADA system administration, management, and support functions where support includes

  • Day-to-day activities required to support the departments that use the SCADA System.



  • Ensure that SCADA system procedures and standards are met.



  • Participate in or be directly responsible for the analysis, design, and implementation of SCADA-related applications, SQL, databases, and reports while following existing standards.



  • Participate in or be directly responsible for working with business groups or other IT staff to provide and/ or develop data interfaces between business and SCADA applications.



  • Coordinate with Engineering, Control Center, and Operations personnel to ensure that application, graphic, and report design meet customer requirements.



  • Provide SCADA system hardware and software support in conjunction with appropriate IT personnel as needed.



  • Participate with IT Infrastructure personnel to review system maintenance, diagnose problems, etc. related to IT Standard operating systems and databases.



  • Participate with IT Telecommunications personnel to review network design, maintenance issues, monitoring, etc.



  • Develop documentation related to the design and the use of applications, graphics, procedures, etc.



Must-haves:



  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience with SCADA AVEVA System Platform, Automation, or real-time systems support



  • Must have at least 3-5 years experience in HMI development



  • Experience in the AVEVA System platform (Intouch,Historian,ABCIP)



  • Experience with writing scripts in AVEVA System platform.



  • Experience with AVEVA OMI



  • GREAT communicator, collaborative spirit, and growth mindset!



  • Must be willing to travel during critical points of projects:


Plusses:



  • Understanding of PLC logic control and function. Predominantly Allen Bradly and Control Logix



  • Networking experience within a Telecom department or similar



  • OSIsoft PI software a plus



  • Proficient program development using .NET 4.0+, C#, VB and SQL
