Job description

Role Title: Senior SQL Server DBA

Description:

Responsible for administration, performance, availability, and security of Microsoft SQL Server environments supporting production workloads.

Core Responsibilities

Manage production SQL Server environments, including provisioning, patching, and upgrades

Ensure high availability and disaster recovery (e.g., AlwaysOn, failover clustering, log shipping)

Perform backup, restore, and recovery operations

Monitor and optimize database performance, queries, and indexing

Support application releases and validate database changes

Implement security controls, access management, and compliance standards

Perform capacity planning and forecasting

Troubleshoot incidents and drive root cause resolution

Support Azure SQL cloud-based deployments where applicable

Microsoft SQL Server (on-prem + Azure SQL)

T-SQL, query tuning, indexing strategies

HADR technologies (AlwaysOn, replication, clustering)

Backuprecovery tools and processes

Monitoring and performance tools

Familiarity with SSIS, SSRS

At least 10 years of experience, including work with 30+ TB databases handling 80,000 transactions per second.
