We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in Creo to design and develop next-generation networking systems, including modular and fixed chassis, line cards, and electronic enclosures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electro-mechanical product design, sheet metal development, tolerance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electronic enclosures, networking chassis, and associated hardware components.
  • Create innovative mechanical designs using sheet metal, plastic, and die-cast materials while ensuring compliance with EMI, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using Creo (NX experience is a plus).
  • Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to create production-ready designs.
  • Perform 2D tolerance stack-up analysis for complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Collaborate with electrical, hardware, and PCB design teams by exchanging and validating IDF files to ensure mechanical compatibility.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams and suppliers to resolve design, production, and field-related issues.
  • Participate in and lead peer reviews and cross-functional design reviews to ensure design quality and manufacturability.
  • Support product development from concept through prototype, validation, and production.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably for electronic enclosures or networking products.
  • Strong proficiency in Creo (NX experience is an added advantage).
  • Hands-on experience with sheet metal design for medium- to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Experience designing components using sheet metal, plastic injection molding, and die-cast processes.
  • Experience working with PCB mechanical integration and IDF file exchange.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC, thermal, and safety design considerations.
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams in a product development environment.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supplier collaboration.
  • Experience designing networking, telecom, or electronic hardware products is highly preferred.
