Job Description

This client in a leading independent advisory firm with one of the most respected restructuring and special situations practices on Wall Street. The team advises debtors, creditors, sponsors, and other stakeholders on some of the most complex in and out of court restructurings, recapitalizations, liability management transactions, and distressed M&A situations in the market.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an Investment Banking Analyst 2 or 3 to join a highly lean team where junior bankers receive significant responsibility, direct exposure to senior leadership, and hands-on involvement in sophisticated transactions from day one.



Key Responsibilities

  • Support execution of complex restructuring, recapitalization, and distressed M&A transactions
  • Build and maintain advanced financial models, including:
    • 3-statement operating models
    • Liquidity forecasts
    • Recovery analyses
    • Debt capacity analyses
    • Valuation models
  • Prepare client presentations, marketing materials, and transaction-related documentation
  • Conduct industry, company, and capital structure analysis
  • Participate in due diligence and transaction execution processes
  • Work closely with senior bankers, clients, legal advisors, lenders, and other stakeholders
  • Analyze distressed situations and evaluate strategic alternatives for clients


Qualifications

  • 1.5-3 years of investment banking experience
  • Prior experience in:
    • Restructuring
    • Leveraged Finance
    • Financial Sponsors
    • M&A
    • Special Situations
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Demonstrated interest in distressed, special situations, and restructuring transactions
