Position Summary
 
We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead multiple capital construction projects across large-scale manufacturing facilities. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in managing ground-up and renovation projects from concept through completion.
 
What you’ll be doing
 
  • Conduct feasibility studies and support design development activities with architectural and engineering firms.
  • Lead ground-up and renovation capital projects from concept through closeout, typically ranging from $2M to $30M+.
  • Drive feasibility studies, due diligence, design development, construction documents, page-turn reviews, and design-quality reviews.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project, manage budgets and forecasts in Procore, and prepare executive-level project status reports.
  • Lead competitive bidding, procurement efforts, and scope awards for architectural, engineering, and general contractor services.
  • Define project requirements and detailed scopes of work for design and construction teams.
  • Monitor contractor performance related to cost, schedule, safety, and quality objectives.
  • Attend jobsite meetings and coordinate consultant site visits.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals and coordinate responses to contractor inquiries.
  • Validate contractor payment applications against actual project progress.
  • Manage multiple priorities and coordinate construction activities to resolve project constraints.
  • Partner with IT, AV, Security, Operations, and other stakeholders for project planning and decision-making.
  • Manage project changes, mitigate scope creep, and communicate impacts to cost, schedule, quality, and safety.
  • Oversee contractor quality-control programs and ensure compliance with safety standards and documentation requirements.
  • Resolve field issues in a timely manner to maintain project quality and schedule.
 
Required Qualifications
 
  • 8+ years of construction project management experience delivering ground-up and complex capital projects valued from $2M to $30M+.
  • Experience leading projects from concept through construction documents, including feasibility studies, due diligence, bidding, and procurement.
  • Strong knowledge of design and construction engineering principles.
  • Experience with schedule management, shop drawings, submittals, construction quality control, and contractor management.
  • Advanced proficiency with:
    • Microsoft Project
    • Procore
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Bluebeam
    • Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Executive Reporting & Presentations
  • Proven ability to lead project engineers, contractors, consultants, and safety personnel while managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, office, automotive, or similar facility construction projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, change-management, and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality construction, continuous improvement, and collaborative teamwork.
 
What you may bring

  • OSHA Certification.
  • Extensive experience with safety documentation and enforcement of safety standards.
  • Manufacturing or automotive facility construction experience.
