Senior Server IT & VoIP Tech

In business since 1988. We own a small EDGE tier 3 designed data center next to Verizon. You will learn many new troubleshooting skills of lasting value working with us. We are repected in IT and lead the market in Telecom (routers, VoIP, circuits, transport)    

Work assigned tckets. Skilled at analyzing logs, graphs, reports, customer docs, past service tickets, down detector, the weather, sun spot activity, & bird migration is a must if it is relevant to the affected system. 5% of time installs of new or repaired equipment but mostly stay in house and work with installers. Be on call once every 5 weeks. (added pay)

Required specific IT Skills

• Windows Server AD, Group policy, DNS, DHCP, More that just admin.
• Windows 11 Pro down to the hardware.
• Deep understanding or router configurations.
• MS 365 email or Google email.
• Trend Anti-virus and MS Defender anti-virus.
• Access points and managed switches.

• Worked with computers before you drove a car.
• Has the fix-it gene. You fixed your car, home appliance or built a PC.
• Can use AI and work though the answer. You are an excellent researcher.
• EXPERIENCED fixing SMALL BUSINESS (UNDER 250 PC) TECHNICAL issues NOT GOVERMENT!

Desired

• Linux based PBX telephone systems.
• Comcast Internet issues.
• Experience in managed voice and data networks is a plus.
• Customer training.
• Linux server setup and configuration.
• Can fix the connection from the wire, to the device to the server to the cloud.
• Veeam backup and N-Able RMM and PRTG monitoring

• 804 area code phone and have lived in Richmond, VA 10+ years.
• Born in Canada, USA or Mexico. (security requirement)
• You are conscientious, accountable and can quickly admit being wrong.
• Know what Occam''''s razor is.
• Strong customer facing communication skills. Customers like you.
• Can read a service ticket or an email and ensure ALL customer requests are filled.
