Senior Audit Manager - PCAOB

Key Responsibilities

• Lead PCAOB audits for US public companies from planning through completion.
• Develop audit strategies, risk assessments, and detailed audit plans.
• Execute, review, and document audit procedures in compliance with PCAOB standards.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor audit staff with 1-3 years of experience.
• Review audit workpapers to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance.
• Perform audits of key financial statement areas, including revenue recognition under ASC 606 and other significant account balances.
• Lead audits involving complex accounting matters such as:
• Business Combinations (ASC 805)
• Debt and Equity Instruments
• Convertible Notes
• Warrants
• Equity-based financing transactions
• Complex capital structures
• Participate in audits involving SPAC and De-SPAC transactions (preferred).
• Review SEC Registration Statements (S-1, S-4, etc.) and support SEC filing processes.
• Assist with audit Consents, Comfort Letters, and other SEC-related engagements.
• Coordinate with US engagement partners and managers to meet deadlines and client expectations.
• Ensure compliance with PCAOB independence and quality control requirements.
• Identify audit risks and recommend practical solutions.
• Contribute to the development and growth of the firm's PCAOB audit practice.

Required Qualifications

• CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• 8-12+ years of external audit experience.
• Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on PCAOB audit experience.
• Strong experience auditing US public companies.
• Thorough understanding of PCAOB standards, US GAAP, and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience leading end-to-end audit engagements.
• Proven experience reviewing audit documentation and managing engagement teams.
