Job description

A leading global multi-strategy hedge fund is seeking a Pricing & Valuation Specialist to join a highly visible team focused on equity volatility, exotic derivatives, and front-office portfolio oversight. Sitting at the intersection of Portfolio Managers, Trading, Risk, Quantitative Research, Technology, and Market Data, this role offers direct exposure to portfolio performance, pricing methodologies, and daily P&L management within a fast-paced investment environment.
This position serves as a key partner to investment teams, acting as the primary point of contact for Portfolio Managers across equity volatility pods. The successful candidate will help ensure the accuracy of valuations, volatility surfaces, risk analytics, and performance attribution, while supporting daily portfolio oversight. The team is seeking highly technical and commercially minded professionals who are eager to remain hands-on, own special projects, and work closely with PMs to drive investment and risk-related initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Own pricing, valuation, and risk oversight for equity derivatives, volatility products, and exotics.
  • Monitor intraday and end-of-day P&L and performance attribution.
  • Partner directly with PMs, Traders, Quants, Risk, and Technology teams.
  • Improve valuation methodologies, controls, analytics, and reporting processes.
  • Resolve pricing and valuation issues while supporting strategic automation initiatives.
Requirements
  • 6-12 years of experience in valuations, product control, risk, or a related function.
  • Strong understanding of equity derivatives, volatility products, and associated risks.
  • Experience with pricing, P&L analysis, valuation methodologies, and risk analytics.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with front-office stakeholders.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.
  • Python, SQL, or other quantitative/programming skills are a plus.
  • An Advanced Degree in a quantitative subject
