Role Summary
The Power BI Architect / Power BI Senior Lead is responsible for architecting, designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-scale Business Intelligence solutions using the Microsoft Power BI platform. The role involves translating business requirements into scalable analytics solutions, defining reporting architecture, establishing governance frameworks, and driving visualization best practices across the organization
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design end-to-end BI solutions using Microsoft Power BI.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and reporting frameworks.
- Design, build, and deploy enterprise-scale BI and analytics solutions.
- Define semantic models, metadata repositories, and reporting architecture.
- Drive performance optimization and scalability of Power BI solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define dashboard and reporting requirements.
- Implement Power BI governance, security models, and best practices.
- Evaluate and improve existing BI environments.
- Create interactive dashboards, executive scorecards, and analytical reports.
- Lead solution design reviews and maintain project documentation.
- Experience in BI Migrations (for eg. Tableau to Power BI, Qlik to Power BI, Cognos to Power BI) -Should be aware of the steps and flow of how migration works
- Mentor development teams and establish BI standards.

Experience Requirements
- Total Experience: 10-12 Years (Architect)
- Minimum 5 years hands-on Power BI experience
- Minimum 3 years in BI Solution Architecture
- Experience across the complete BI lifecycle: Requirements → Design → Development → Testing → Deployment → Support
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
- Microsoft Power BI / Fabric Certifications preferred.
- Experience in enterprise reporting and analytics transformation programs.
- Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills.
Leadership Expectations
- Lead architecture governance for BI programs.
- Define reusable reporting frameworks and accelerators.
- Participate in solutioning, estimation, and proposal responses.
- Mentor Power BI developers and leads.
- Support delivery excellence and BI CoE initiatives.
