Senior Android Engineer

Senior Android Engineer (Kotlin/Java)
Location: Glendale, CA (Candidates must currently reside within the Greater Los Angeles area and be available to work onsite in Glendale 4 days per week.)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days onsite)
We are seeking an experienced Android Engineer to join a high-performing mobile development team responsible for building and enhancing industry-leading consumer applications. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
The ideal candidate will have deep Android expertise, strong software engineering fundamentals, and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java
• Build scalable, reusable solutions that support multiple mobile platforms and products
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability
• Analyze and optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, QA Engineers, and other development teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing across teams
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines within an Agile development environment

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience developing Android applications
• Expert-level proficiency with Kotlin and Java
• Experience with Android SDK and modern Android development practices
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns
• Experience writing automated tests and maintaining high code quality standards
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience building large-scale consumer-facing mobile applications
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development or testing tools

Additional Requirements

• BS Degree in a STEM-related field.
• Must be willing to work onsite 4 days per week in Glendale, CA.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Sponsorship, including H-1B transfers and visa sponsorship, is not available for this position.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $94.00/hr.
