Payrate: $65.00 - $66.00/hr.
Summary:
Join our team to drive innovation in software development focused on positioning and localization. Collaborate with experts to prototype and bring to production algorithms that enable autonomous and semi-autonomous systems to robustly localize within their environments. This role involves estimating position and altitude relative to terrain features and equipment, and implementing filters using perception-based, inertial, and GNSS inputs.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $65.00 - $66.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, health savings accounts with qualified medical plan enrollment, 10 paid days off, 3 days paid bereavement leave, 401(k) plan participation with employer match, life and disability insurance, commuter benefits, dependent care flexible spending account, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, accommodations and reimbursement for work travel, and discretionary performance or recognition bonus. Sick leave and mobile phone reimbursement provided based on state or local law.

Summary:

Responsibilities
- Research and design localization algorithms and software.
- Develop production-quality C software, including design, documentation, coding, product quality, and validation.
- Contribute to requirements generation and architecture design considerations for the localization architecture.
- Support functional safety software design and validation processes.
- Collaborate and mentor localization team members to achieve goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or PhD in Robotics, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 5 years of experience, or 2 years with a Master’s degree.
- Experience as a Software Developer in Robotic Positioning is comparable.
- Excellence in developing C software.
- Ability to analyze and resolve software or application problems.
- Experience in inertial measurement technology and state estimation.
Skills
- 5 years of experience in Robotics/Autonomous solutions.
- Proven experience implementing filtering solutions like Error State, Kalman, and Extended Kalman.
- In-depth knowledge of inertial measurement technology and inertial-based navigation or guidance systems.
- Experience with SLAM approaches, graph optimization libraries, and state estimation.
- Knowledge of robotics frameworks such as ROS.
- Strong foundation in mathematics and fundamentals (3D geometry, linear algebra, statistical error modeling).
- Understanding of physics-based modeling, vehicle modeling, and dynamics.
