Section Engineer

Senior Site Engineer – Civil Engineering Edinburgh £50,000 - £65,000 + Vehicle + Lodge Allowance + Benefits We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale earthworks and infrastructure schemes, supporting project delivery through surveying, setting out, machine control management and technical site support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surveying and setting out works on site<br />• Managing machine control systems and 3D modelling<br />• Monitoring earthworks progress and reporting project performance<br />• Interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications<br />• Supporting project planning, resource management and procurement activities<br />• Ensuring compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental standards<br />• Mentoring junior engineers and supporting site teams

Requirements:

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering<br />• Previous experience within civil engineering, earthworks or infrastructure projects<br />• Strong setting out and surveying experience<br />• Knowledge of machine control systems (Topcon, Trimble or Leica)<br />• Experience using GPS, Total Stations and surveying software<br />• Strong communication and organisational skills<br />• Full UK Driving Licence<br />• Willingness to travel and work away from home when required Package: • £50,000 - £65,000 basic salary<br />• Company vehicle or allowance<br />• Lodge allowance<br />• Pension scheme<br />• Ongoing training and career development<br />• Long-term project pipeline and career progression Apply now for a confidential discussion
