RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Mobile DevOps Engineer in San Antonio, TX.

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile DevOps Engineer to support and optimize the mobile application delivery lifecycle across iOS and Android platforms. This role is responsible for building and maintaining scalable CI/CD pipelines, automating build and release processes, improving developer productivity, and ensuring secure, reliable delivery of mobile applications.

The ideal candidate combines expertise in mobile development ecosystems, DevOps practices, automation, and release engineering to help development teams deploy high-quality applications efficiently and at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for iOS and Android applications
  • Automate mobile build, testing, code signing, packaging, and deployment processes
  • Improve release reliability, deployment speed, and overall developer experience
  • Manage mobile release infrastructure, including certificates, provisioning profiles, signing credentials, and distribution processes
  • Develop tools and automation that streamline workflows for mobile engineering teams
  • Integrate automated unit, integration, UI, security, and quality testing into delivery pipelines
  • Support and automate Apple App Store and Google Play Store release processes
  • Monitor and troubleshoot build environments, dependency issues, pipeline failures, and deployment challenges
  • Implement observability and reporting around builds, deployments, release health, and application delivery metrics
  • Collaborate with mobile developers, QA engineers, security teams, platform engineers, and infrastructure teams
  • Establish and promote DevOps standards, best practices, and governance for mobile engineering
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve build performance, scalability, reliability, and developer productivity

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, Build Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical role
  • 3+ years of experience supporting CI/CD pipelines for production mobile applications
  • Hands-on experience with iOS and/or Android development ecosystems
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Bitrise, CircleCI, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
  • Experience managing Apple code signing, certificates, provisioning profiles, and App Store deployment processes
  • Experience with Android application signing, release management, and Google Play deployment workflows
  • Strong scripting and automation experience using Python, Bash, Ruby, or similar languages
  • Experience working within Git-based source control and development workflows
  • Strong knowledge of mobile build tools and dependency management, including: Xcode; Gradle; CocoaPods; Swift Package Manager
  • Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and quality gates within CI/CD pipelines
  • Understanding of security best practices related to secrets management, credentials, code signing assets, and access controls
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across engineering and operational teams
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex build, release, environment, and deployment issues

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
